Russian humanitarian aid plane lands in Lattakia

Lattakia, SANA – A Russian plane carrying 15 tons of humanitarian aid sent by the Russian government and people to the Syrian people landed on Thursday at Bassel al-Assad Airport in Lattakia.

The aid consists of 5 tons of sugar and 10 tons of canned fish.

Lattakia Governor, Ahmad Sheikh Abdul-Qader, said in a statement to reporters at the airport that the ongoing delivery of Russian aid to Syria is evidence of the deep rooted relations between the two countries, pointing out that the Russian aid shipment will be distributed among families affected by terrorism.
