Exhibition showcasing art by Fadel Zakaraya

Damascus, SANA – An art exhibition featuring oil paintings by artist Fadel Zakaraya opened on Sunday at the People’s Gallery for Fine Arts.

The exhibition, organized by Quneitra Governorate, features 45 paintings, most of them in oil, in which Zakaraya attempted to express his love for Syria and the city of Quneitra and reflect various psychological and social states of Syrians throughout various points in history.

 

The artist said his paintings seek to touch on events and social issues in Syria that the world at large is ignoring, using crows to symbolize those who conspire against Syria and who wish the Syrian people harm.
