Provinces, SANA – Terrorists on Thursday launched a number of mortar shells on the areas of al-Abbasiyeen and al-Yarmouk camp in Damascus causing casualties and material damage.
A source at Damascus Police Command told SANA that five shells landed behind al-Abbassiyeen Hospital and in the surrounding of al-Abbassiyeen Square, injuring three citizens and causing material damage.
The source added that two mortar rounds fell near al-Bashir Mosque in al-Yarmouk Camp, causing material damage in the area.
Seven citizens were injured on Wednesday in terrorist attacks with mortar rounds on a number of Damascus neighborhoods.
Meanwhile, another citizen was reported wounded as a terrorist sniper targeted his car as it was passing near Rahmeh gas station in Douma area on Damascus-Homs highway.
A nearby parked car went on fire as a result of a mortar shell that hit the area.
Material damage to a power generator, a house and the Healthcare Institute was caused by a terrorist mortar attack on al-Adawai neighborhood in Damascus.
A source at the Police Command told SANA reporter that a mortar shell fired by terrorists fell inside the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, causing damage to a power generator and a house, while another mortar shell fell on the roof of the Healthcare institute causing only material damage.
