Wadina’s Nights Festival continues activities in Homs

Homs, SANA – Activities of the 4th day of Wadina’s Nights Festival held at al-Nadara valley in Homs continued on Wednesday, comprising several cultural, social and entertaining events.

A medical center affiliated to the Family Planning Association in Hubnamrah town in Homs countryside was inaugurated. It will offer medical and remedy services to women and children under 11 for free.

Homs Governor Talal al-Barazi stressed the importance of the medical center as it cares for women and children.

Al-Barazi pointed out to the necessity of cooperation between the local society and service institutions through spreading health awareness and medical culture.

Member of the Management Committee of the Family Planning Association Branch in Homs Diwar Tayyarah, the observer of the medical center, stressed that the center was established in coordination between the Syrian Family Planning Association, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

Tayyarah said that the center aims at offering means of the family planning, particularly in the field of reproduction health and the individual and collective awareness of the women and children under 11.

The fourth day also included several cultural events which aim at promoting the cultural feature of the area which enjoys various tourist potentials and a charming nature.
