Homs, SANA-The foundation stone for a sports complex was laid in al-Hwash town in al-Nadara valley in Homs countryside, within the activities of “Our Valley Nights” festival.
The complex is planned to cover an area of 4 ,000 square meters, at an estimated value of SYP 7 million.
Homs governor Talal al-Barazi said, during the foundation stone laying ceremony, the project is an indication that the reconstruction process has been set in motion and the economic recovery has started to materialize after security and stability were restored.
The governor saluted “the souls of martyrs”, stressing the importance of coordinating efforts of the civil society and administrative institutions to help catalyze the reconstruction process.
Mokhles Dawood, mayor of al-Hwash, said the project is aimed to cater to the need of the youngsters and invigorate sports in the area.
