Idleb, SANA-Idleb governor Safwan Abu Saadi underlined the governorate’s keenness to provide all necessary service to citizens so as to ameliorate their living conditions under the current crisis.
The governor, whose comments came during his meeting Saturday with a delegation from the UN’s World Food Program (WFP), stressed the necessity of bolstering ties between the governorate and representatives of humanitarian agencies and organizations for improving relief work and delivering aid to all areas across the province.
The governorate is determined to go ahead with having the legal status settled of people who have been misled into committing acts that harm the country’s security, reviewing the government’s efforts in the educational and health domains and humanitarian aid deliveries.
Head of the delegation Moyaad Hamidi pointed to joint projects with the governorate, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) branch and al-Birr Charity, citing around 50, 000 food baskets distributed monthly in the province.
Chairman of SARC branch in Idleb Maamoun Kharbout said cooperation in humanitarian aid deliveries was discussed during the delegation’s visit, stressing that aid is gaining access to the farthest point in Idleb province.
