Damascus, SANA – Director of General Authority for Palestinian Arab Refugees Ali Mustafa said that the authorities concerned in Syria and the Health Program at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) provided the Palestinian Red Crescent with 3000 Polio vaccine doses for the children in al-Yarmouk Camp in Syria.
Mustafa told SANA Monday that these sides are continued in providing the Palestinian Red Crescent with vaccines to reach to 10,000 doses during the upcoming days.
He said “supported by the Syrian Government and under the supervision of the Higher Committee of Relief, the authority and UNRWA distributed on Sunday 495 food baskets for the besieged residents of al-Yarmouk Camp, asserting that 5 patients were hospitalized to Damascus hospitals.”
Mustafa appreciated the Syrian government’s efforts in supporting the Palestinian people and easing their suffering due to the siege imposed by the armed terrorist groups .
He pointed out that the number of the food baskets which were distributed in the Camp since last January up till last Sunday reached 36497, in addition to 3776 medical baskets, while 4435 patients were hospitalized.
