HOMS, SANA- During the first half of the current year, the total value of the General Company for Mines and Phosphate’s sales in Homs hit SYP 5 billions.
The amount of the crude phosphate sold internally reached 70, 649 tons with a total value of SYP 403 millions while the foreign sales reached 415,282 tons with a value of SYP 4 billions, according to the Company’s Director General Abdul-Rahman Birini.
During the same period, the Company produced 493,822 tons of phosphate while the production must reach 1098,448 tons according to the production plan with an execution rate of 45 percent.
It is noteworthy that 2014 production plan includes producing 2,2 million tons from the mines of Khneifis and al-Sharqia, in addition to selling 400,000 tons to the Fertilizers General Establishment, in addition to selling 1,8 million tons externally.
