Damascus, SANA – The Cabinet approved a bill on partnership between the public and private sector, which will regulate partnership contracts between them, how they are applied, and the administrative framework for such partnerships.
During a weekly session on Tuesday chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Wael al-Halaqi, the Cabinet also approved a bill on amending articles of the law regulating the agricultural engineer profession, in addition to ratifying a financial agreement signed by the governments of Syria and Russia on 23/5/2014 per which Russia will provide gratis financial aid to Syria.
Premier al-Halaqi said that cooperation, integration and partnership will help provide the best services and provide citizens with better living conditions, stressing the need for monitoring markets and prices and provide goods at competing prices.
He called on ministries to finish up technical, legal, and financial studies for projects of the reconstruction stage, particularly in the fields of electric power, health, pharmaceuticals, petroleum, transport, industry, and housing, assigning the head of the Planning and International Cooperation Agency with preparing files on these projects to be presented to investors within a few weeks.
The Prime Minister also stressed the need to address the water shortages caused by the dry season, with improving the availability of drinking water in Aleppo being a priority.
The Ministers of Electricity and Petroleum and Mineral Resources reviewed the efforts being made to improve the status of the electric power grid and provide fuel to power stations, while Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem gave reviewed the latest political developments in the region and the world.
