Damascus, (SANA) Activities of the first Syrian tourist day will kick off in the Canadian city of Toronto Friday.
The 5-day event is organized by the Ministry of Tourism in cooperation with the Syrian-Canadian Social Club.
Director of the Tourism Marketing and Circulation Department at the Ministry, Basam Barsik told SANA that the event includes a photo exhibition which highlights the Syrian archeological sites before and after the systematic demolition at the hands of the armed terrorist groups.
Canadian scholars, archeologists and historians from the Toronto University will participate in the event.
The Syrian Tourist Day is the first within the Ministry’s plan to launch this activity in a number of the world states, like the US, Spain, France and Netherlands with the aim of conveying the true image of Syria to the west to stop exporting terrorism to it.
