Tourism Minister: Enormous efforts exerted to rehabilitate facilities damaged by terrorists

Damascus, SANA – Caretaker Tourism Minister Bisher Yazigi stressed that the tourism sector is exerting enormous efforts to rehabilitate what was damaged by armed terrorist groups, pointing out that several tourist and archeological sites have been sabotaged by terrorists.

Meeting a delegation from a French clergical society for helping Eastern Christians, Yazigi said that the delegation’s visit to Syria is a continuation of the visits of those who love Syria and all organizations which were aware of the scale of the conspiracy and terrorism targeting Syria from the beginning.

The delegation members expressed happiness over visiting Syria, particularly the Old City of Damascus and Maloula town which was the target of the terrorists’ attacks and vandalism.

Members of the delegation highlighted the importance of coexistence and harmony among religions, something which they witnessed in the streets of Damascus.
