Damascus, SANA -People’s Assembly on Wednesday held its fourth session of the second legislative term, chaired by its Speaker Hadiyeh Abbas, discussing the performance of Health Ministry and issues related to its work.
The Assembly members called for paying more attention to the health sector especially in Hasaka, Aleppo, Homs, Deir Ezzor and the towns of Kefriyeh and al-Fou’ah and providing citizens in terror-liberated areas with necessary medical services.
The MPs hailed the efforts exerted by the Ministry’s hospitals and health centers to provide free treatment and medicine to all citizens.
Responding to the Assembly members’ questions, Minister of Health Nizar Yaziji said that different committees have been formed to follow up on different issues, indicating to the Ministry’s continued efforts to supervise the work mechanisms of medicine manufacture and rehabilitate hospitals and health centers and establish new ones in terror-liberated areas in the provinces of Aleppo and Homs to provide medical services to all citizens.
He also noted that the Ministry will continue to send medicine shipments to meet medical needs of the Syrians in all provinces.
