Syrian karate team gains three medals within 8th Arab Kyokushinkai Championship

Beirut, SANA – The national team for Kyokushinkai karate has gained three medals, a gold and a silver and a bronze, within the 8th Arab Kyokushinkai Championship taken place in Lebanese capital of Beirut.

The golden medal was gained for juniors under 50kg by Khuder al-Salem, and the silver medal for juniors under 60 kg was gained by Motasem Bellah Shaaban, while the bronze medal was gained by Lama Hussami for women under-65-kg.

In a statement to SANA, Head of Karate Federation Jihad Maya said that this achievement of the national team stresses the strong presence of the game, whose motto has become constant participation and gaining medals.

Twelve other Syrian players residing in Lebanon participated in the Championship.
