Aid planeload arrives at Qamishli airport

Hasaka, SANA-A planeload of food aid arrived Sunday at Qamishli international airport.

The food aid, which is provided by the UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency, is part of the third airlift.

Director of the World Food Program (WFP) office in Qamishli, Afraa Noah said that with the new plane, the number of received food baskets reaches 6,000, as the number that must be distributed in Hasaka province is 10,000.

Noah said the food baskets are due to be distributed next week.

The third airlift aid planes began arriving at Qamishli international airport since July 22.
