Russia provides al-Husn al-Bateriyrki Hospital in al-Nadara valley in Homs with medical aid

Homs, SANA- Al-Husn al-Bateriyrki (The Patriarchal Fortress) Hospital in al-Nadara valley in the western countryside of Homs province received on Saturday medical aid provided by Russia.

During the delivery of the aid, Colonel Vitaly of the Russian Coordination Center in Hmeimeem Airbase affirmed that Russia continues providing medical aid to medical establishments to support them so that they can provide services to the sick and people injured by terrorist attacks.

Vitaly added that along with providing medical equipment to the hospital, food aid was distributed among the families affected by the crimes committed by the terrorist organizations.

For his part, Homs Health Director Dr. Hassan al-Jundi said that the health sector in Homs province suffered from systematic sabotage by the terrorist organizations which put 60-70% of the public and private hospitals out of service, affirming the importance of the medical aid provided by the Russian friends to support health establishments, which reflects the depth of friendship between the two countries.

In turn, director of the hospital Dr. Khaled Yaziji said that the aid included quantities of medicine and medical equipment in addition to food packages for some of the families of the martyrs and the wounded.

During the past months, in the framework of supporting Syria to face the unjust embargo imposed by the West and some regional countries, Russia provided medical aid to many hospitals, particularly Tishreen University Hospital in Lattakia and Aleppo University Hospital, in addition to the distribution of hundreds of tons of aid to the locals affected by the terrorists’ crimes.
