Terrorist groups breach cessation of hostilities 8 more times in Damascus and Lattakia

Lattakia, SANA – The Hmeimim-based Russian Coordination Center monitoring the cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria announced that over the past 24 hours, terrorist groups breached the agreement 8 new times, 6 of which took place in Damascus province and the other 2 breaches were observed in Lattakia.

The center added in a statement that terrorists of “Jaish al-Islam” attacked with mortar shells a number of areas in Damascus and Damascus countryside, while terrorists of “Ahrar al-Sham Movement” shelled two villages in Lattakia province.

The terrorists of Jaish al-Fatah, Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIS also attacked some positions in Aleppo, in addition to many towns in Damascus, Daraa and Hama.

The center pointed out that 9 more towns joined the cessation of hostilities agreement, four of which in Lattakia province and five in Homs province, raising the total number of the towns that are part of the agreement to 578.

The cessation of hostilities agreement doesn’t include ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra or other groups designated as terrorist organizations by the UN Security Council.
