Moscow, SANA – Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Rus’ praised the bravery of the Syrian people during the crisis, particularly the Syrian children whom he said constitute the guarantee that Syria will stand fast in the face of all challenges.
Meetings the 100 Syrian students from the Martyrs Sons School, Martyrs Daughters School, and St. Thecla Convent orphanage, who had been invited to spend the summer vacation in Russia, Patriarch Kirill said that Russians are fully aware of what happening in Syria and that they admire the Syrians’ ability to defend their freedom and independence.
He addressed Syria’s children, calling on them to maintain their faith and study well to become strong of body and soul.
The Patriarch offered the visiting students gifts including musical instruments and toys.
