Damascus, SANA – Temperatures will slightly drop to become around average in most areas as the country is influenced by the Indian low pressure system accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
In its Friday bulletin, the Meteorology Department expected hot and typical summer weather to prevail, with the skies being clear to partly cloudy in general.
There is a chance of local rain showers over some northern areas, and the weather will be hot and misty in the eastern, al-Badiya (desert) and al-Jazira areas.
The wind will be westerly to northwesterly of light to moderate speed, while the sea waves will be low to medium in amplitude, according to the bulletin.
The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 35/22, Daraa 33/23, Homs 32/22, Lattakia 31/24, Aleppo 35/24 and Deir Ezzor 42/23.
