Damascus Countryside, SANA – The eighth batch of self-protection squads which consists of 600 members from villages and towns in Eastern Ghouta in Damascus Countryside graduated.
During the graduation ceremony which was held at one of the military training centers, Governor of Damascus Countryside Hussein Makhlouf said the graduates have completed their training and are ready to assume their responsibilities in standing side by side with the Syrian Arab Army in protecting the villages and defending the citizens’ properties and government establishments in the areas to which the army had restored security and stability.
The total number of members who completed military training courses has reached 5,800 people from various villages and areas in Damascus Countryside, according to Ahmad Zaiton, the Secretary General of the Damascus Countryside Council.
