Damascus, SANA-Social Affairs Minister Rima al-Qadiri discussed on Monday with a delegation from the Syrian Community in Sao Paulo in Brazil the role of expatriates in supporting their country.
The minister pointed out that the terrorist war against Syria spawned social difficulties that weighed heavily on the Syrian families and the infrastructure, adding that the ministry is focusing in its current activities on developing the rural areas and establishing projects to help women.
Al-Qadiri said that the Syrian Commission for Family Affairs and Population is basically interested in children and women and preparing an executive program for the early childhood development plan which aims at enhancing children’s intelligence.
For their part, members of delegation expressed their readiness to meet the requirements of people with disabilities and the needs of the social sector in Syria.
The delegation that arrived to Damascus on Sunday includes 6 figures and seeks to convoy the true image of what is happening in Syria to the Syrian expatriates in Brazil.
