Damascus, SANA-Head of the Syrian Arab Republic’s delegation to the intra-Syrian dialogue in Geneva Bashar al-Jaafari said that Geneva talks are “a Syrian-Syrian dialogue without any foreign intervention”, affirming that Syria’s future is planned by the Syrians only.
“The second round of talks in Geneva was more essential than the previous one as we approached sensitive points of indirect talks and moved from arrangement into the beginning of breaking the freezing,” Al-Jaafari told al-Mayadeen TV in an interview broadcasted on Monday.
“The US-Russian agreement serves us because it helps cease combat activities and enter in a dialogue of Geneva and reach outcomes, so we are satisfied with this agreement as it eases international tension and positively impacts the overall events in the region,” al-Jaafari said.
He affirmed that the Syrian government supports the establishment of “An international, genuine, fair and objective coalition to combat terrorism in coordination with the Syrian government.”
