Hama, SANA – An army checkpoint seized two cars carrying munitions in Hama city, a military source told SANA on Tuesday.
The source added that the cars were loaded with 35 RPG rounds, 3000 PKC bullets, 3000 assault rifle bullets and amounts of grenades, pointing out that the ammunition was bound for the terrorist organizations.
The two drivers were arrested and referred to the authorities concerned for interrogation, the source noted.
On the 21st of January, the authorities concerned in Sweida foiled an operation to smuggle a large quantity of ammunition for medium and heavy weapons coming from the eastern countryside of the neighboring Daraa province and were bound for terrorist organizations in the Syrian Badiya (desert).
