Lattakia, SANA – The ports of Lattakia and Tartous reopened on Wednesday after the storm passed.

Director of Ports Maissam Ibrahim al-Youssef noted in a statement to SANA that the intensity of the storm amounted to maximum winds of 42 knots, but with only slight damage.

The two ports were closed on Monday as winds reached speeds of up to 80 km/h.
