Provinces, SANA – Army units on Friday continued operations in a number of provinces, killing and injuring dozens of ISIS and Jabhet al-Nusra terrorists and obliterating their hideouts and weaponry.
Deir Ezzor
The Syrian Air Force carried out a series of airstrikes on concentrations of ISIS terrorists in Hatla and al-Marya’ia villages in Deir Ezzor province, destroying a number of vehicles and bases for the terrorists along with the weapons and ammo inside them, a military source told SANA.
Sources on the ground stated that an army unit destroyed a convoy consisting of eight machinegun-equipped vehicles and a fuel tanker used by ISIS in al-Husseiniye village north of Deir Ezzor city.
Meanwhile, scores of ISIS terrorists were killed in the province’s countryside and in the surroundings of Deir Ezzor Military Airport, including a Saudi known as Abu Omar al-Chami, Mahmoud al-Saleh, Khedr al-Nasser, Ibrahim al-Jaafar, Saleh al-Abbas, Ibrahim al-Khaled, Sattam al-Ismael, Imad Hamdan, and Misha’l al-Mousa, the latter being an accounting officer in the terrorist organization.
Earlier on Thursday, army units killed numbers of ISIS terrorists to the east of Deir Ezzor military airport, al-Mrei’iyeh, Hweijet al-Mrei’iyeh and around the gas pipeline and al-Taim field to the east and southeast of Deir Ezzor city.
An army unit killed 25 ISIS terrorists in the vicinity of al-Tharda Mountain and destroyed a vehicle equipped with a Dushka machinegun and a 23 mm cannon mounted on a vehicle in southeastern Deir Ezzor.
In al-Jafra village, located on the right bank of the Euphrates river, an army unit thwarted an infiltration attempt by ISIS terrorists and killed five of them.
Four ISIS terrorists were killed as an army unit targeted their hideouts in al-Ummal neighborhood, while a number of others were killed in al-Hweiqeh neighborhood.
Idleb/Hama
The Syrian Air Force carried out sorties targeting positions of terrorists from “Jaish al-Fateh” (Conquest Army) terrorist organization in al-Tamani’a, al-Latamneh, and Atshan in Idleb and Hama province.
A military source told SANA that the sorties resulted in destroying terrorists’ bases along with the weapons, munitions, and military equipment inside them.
Meanwhile, sources on the ground said that at least 35 terrorists from Jaish al-Fateh were killed in Idleb countryside in operations by the Syrian Arab Army.
The sources said that an army unit killed carried out a special operation which resulted in the death of at least seven terrorists at the southeastern side of Deir Sonbol village south of Idleb city, while Mohamad Mashrout, who was one of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization’s leaders, was killed along with a number of his underlings during a special operation by the army which targeted positions at the western side of Ma’aret al-Nu’man city in the province.
Sources confirmed that a leader in the terrorist organization known as “Jabhat Thewar Sarqeb” called Rafa’at Abdulrazzaq Hammoud was killed along with three of his companions when an explosive device went off in the surroundings of Sarqeb city.
The sources also said that at least 23 terrorists were killed during army operations targeting Jabhat al-Nusra bases and positions in the town of Ehsem and the countryside of Ma’aret al-Nu’man, which also resulted in destroying four bases along with the weapons and ammo inside them.
Lattakia
Army units in cooperation with national defense groups established control over al-Zweqat and Zahya mounts and the surrounding areas in Lattakia’s northern countryside.
Meanwhile, the Syrian army air force targeted terrorists’ hideouts and concentrations in Dweir al-Akrad, al-Sheikh Yousef, Jabal al-Katf and Jabal Abu Hiddo.
Scores of terrorists, including of Jabhet al-Nusra, were killed in the process and their hideouts and fortifications were destroyed.
Daraa
Army units ambushed terrorist groups in northern countryside Daraa Province, killing and injuring 15 of them.
Field sources told SANA that the army ambushed Jabhet al-Nusra terrorists on al-Sheikh Miskeen-Enkhel road, killing and injuring 15 of them and destroying a number of their vehicles.
Meanwhile, terrorist groups acknowledged on their social media pages that a number of terrorists, including Ahed Mohammad al-Hawamda- leader of the so-called “al-Khulafa al-Rashideen Battalion” terrorist group, were killed in al-Sheikh Miskeen area.
The army also destroyed a terrorists’ vehicle in al-Abassyeh neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad, and killed and injured a number of terrorists.
Aleppo
A Syrian Arab Army unit carried out concentrated strikes on hideouts of ISIS terrorists in the villages of Shamer and al-Bab city north of Aleppo city, destroying them along with the terrorists, weapons, and munitions inside them, a military source told SANA.
The source said the Syrian Air Force carried out sorties targeting movements and positions of ISIS terrorists in the villages of Rasm al-Abd, Najara, and Deir Hafer east of Kwairis Airport, destroying a number of machinegun-equipped vehicles and military equipment.
Army units eliminated a number of terrorists in the villages of Abu Jaloul, Jub al-Kaf, and Tibeh, while another unit eliminated terrorist hotspots in a series of precision strikes in Bani Zeid neighborhood in Aleppo city.
Sources on the ground told SANA that 10 terrorists from “the global union of Ajnad al-Cham” terrorist group were killed and others were injured when an armored vehicle they were rigging with explosives exploded near al-Alamiya gas station on the Aleppo-Idleb road.
Homs
The Syrian Air Force carried out sorties targeting positions and movements of ISIS terrorists east of Maheen town, in the surroundings of Hawarin, and in al-Qaryatain city in Homs province, destroying a number of ISIS’ bases and vehicles along with the weapons, munitions, and equipment inside them, a military source told SANA.
In the province’s northern countryside, army units carried out operations targeting concentrations of terrorist groups affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organizations east of al-Ameriye village and al-Rastan hill, killing a number of terrorists and injuring others, according to the source.
The source also said that the army destroyed a machinegun-equipped vehicle used by terrorists in Hosh al-Hazruri near the town of Talbiseh north of Homs city.
