Syrian Unified Communist Party’s conference kicks off

Damascus, SANA- Activities of the 12th conference of the Syrian Unified Communist Party kicked off Thursday in the building of the General Sports Federation in Damascus.

The participants in the two day conference, which is dubbed “Defending the homeland and fighting terrorism”, will discuss political, economic and social reports as the Party’s top leadership bodies will be elected.

Secretary General of the Party Hannin Nimr asserted that the Syrian people, who raised the logo of political solution in one hand and the logo of resistance in other, will continue using all means to fight terrorism and restore security to all Syrian areas.

Nimr pointed out that the main task now is to defend the homeland and continue eliminating terrorism.
