Saturday weather forecast: Temperatures above average, rain showers expected in southern areas

Damascus, SANA- The temperatures will remain from 5 to 8 degrees above average as the country is being affected by a superficial low air pressure coming from the southeast and accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

The Meteorology Department expected in its Saturday bulletin that the weather will be misty and hot and the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general, and showers of local muddy rain will fall in the evening and at night over the southern areas and the mountains.

The wind will be southwestern with a light to moderate speed and the sea waves will be low in height.

Tomorrow, the temperatures will slightly drop, yet they will remain from 3 to 7 degrees above average as the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general while the weather will be misty in some areas and muddy rain showers are expected in the southern areas and the mountains.

The expected temperatures in the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 39/25, Aleppo 38/25, Lattakia 33/25, Homs 38/25 and Hama 40/26.
