Damascus, SANA- Health Minister Dr. Nizar Yazigi affirmed that memo of understanding for cooperation in medical and therapeutic fields which was signed lately between Syria and Iran will have a major impact on developing national experience in the field of medicines and therapeutic drug monitoring.
In a statement to SANA, the minister said that the memo will contribute to facilitating the measures related to medicine supplies through the Iranian credit line in addition to providing medical equipments and rehabilitating staffs in engineering, maintenance and many other fields.
Yazigi noted that joint cooperation in the health field with Iran is developing remarkably, particularly in terms of increasing the number of scholarships in the medical specialties for Syrian students to support the health sector, organizing medical training courses, rehabilitating medical staff, exchanging experiences and benefiting from Iran’s experience in scientific and technical fields in Syrian hospitals and medical centers.
The minister cited the continuous humanitarian initiatives presented by Iran’s leadership and people to support the health sector in Syria.
On August 18th, Syrian and Iranian Health ministries signed a memo of understanding (MoU) in medical and therapeutic fields.
