Hasaka- Over the past month, Qamishli International Airport ran 318 internal and external flights through the Syrian Airlines and the private Sham Wings Airlines.
Eng. Mohammad al-Karu, Director of the Airport, which is located in Qamishli city in the northeastern Hasaka province, told SANA reporter on Wednesday that the Syrian Airlines carried onboard 12,318 passengers from Damascus and Lattakia and 10,073 passengers departing from al-Qamishli.
Al-Karu added that the private Sham Wings Airlines carried 2, 090 passengers to the city and 2, 483 departing with the internal flights.
He indicated that the Syrian Airlines ran 9 external flights from and to Kuwait carrying 515 passengers onboard, while Sham Wings Airlines ran two external flights to Beirut carrying 113 passengers onboard, stressing keenness on providing the best services and on intensifying flights through running additional flights to serve the biggest number of passengers.
Last June, Qamishli International Airport ran 286 flights with 25,123 passengers onboard.
