Tehran, SANA – The 8th session of General Assembly of Islamic Radios and Televisions Union (IRTVU) and the International Islamic Film Market Festival wrapped up activities in the Iranian capital of Tehran on Tuesday.
Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi and the accompanying delegayion took part in the event, which saw the participation of political figures, TV channel directors and media experts representing 220 radio and television stations from 35 countries.
President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) Mohammad Sarafraz asserted that the media of the Resistance has foiled all the U.S. plots in the region, pointing out that the US has recently resorted to proxy war after its failure in the direct war it started in Iraq to control the resources of the region, particularly the oil wells.
This war, he added, aims at undermining the Axis of the Resistance, particularly Iran, and pressuring the latter to divert it from its approach that opposes the U.S. project.
Minister al-Zoubi and the IRTVU Secretary General Ali Karimian opened on Sunday a news agency, the 6th edition of the Islamic Film Market and the 5th edition of the Engineering Exhibition.
An international organization affiliated to the IRTVU entitled to grant a “Halal Media” new brand for cinema and television productions of the Arab and Islamic countries was launched.
