If Syria floats the idea of returning its ambassador to Tunisia, we’ll interact with it, Tunisia’s FM said

Tunisia, SANA- Tunisia’s Foreign Minister Taieb Baccouche said that “if Syria floats the idea of returning its ambassador to Tunisia, we will interact with it,” as there are nine countries which haven’t cut its diplomatic relations with Syria and don’t close their embassies in it.

On returning Tunisia’s diplomatic relations with Syria, Baccouche asserted, at the end of the annual symposium for heads of permanent diplomatic missions or consular offices abroad held Wednesday at the Tunisian Foreign Ministry headquarters, that his country doesn’t receive instructions from any one in drawing its foreign policy.

The minister affirmed that the current Tunisian government has sent general consulate to Syria since the beginning of its work, saying that “this news was spread and has been addressed again due to the recent diplomatic movement through which a new general consular has been appointed in Syria.

Baccouche described on Tuesday cutting relations with Syria as a wrong procedure.
