A source at the Police Command told SANA that terrorists fired a mortar shell that landed outside the Architectural Engineering Faculty of Damascus University in al-Baramkeh area, injuring two students and causing material damage to three cars.
Early in the morning, a mortar shell fell in the main square in Bab Touma neighborhood, leaving five civilians injured, according to the source.
Another mortar shell landed near al-Jamarek (customs) roundabout, causing only material damage but no human casualties.
