Maracaibo, Venezuela, SANA – The Communist Party of Venezuela in cooperation with the Venezuelan-Arab Club held an event of a range of activities in solidarity with Syria against the terrorism war waged on it.
Zaid Khudr, head of the Club, hailed in a speech he delivered at the event the steadfastness of the Syrian people and army in the face of the Arab and foreign-backed terrorism, condemning the sides supporting the terrorists as seeking to tamper with the region’s stability and exploit its resources.
Khudr said Syria is the pivot of stability in the region given its political and historical importance, which makes it necessary to put all efforts to maintain its security and stability.
The Syrian Ambassador to Venezuela Ghassan Abbas and a number of Syrian expatriates who are members of clubs and charity associations attended the event, which included holding media interviews and lectures highlighting aspects of the current situation in the region.
