Ankara, SANA Turkish Cumhuriyet, (The Republic) newspaper unveiled that Turkish security forces seized a truck loaded with detonators and an explosive primers in Akcakale, Sanliurfa province, southeastern Turkey bounds for Syria.

The seizure of the truck came after the paper had blown on May 29th,the lid off the biggest scandal in the face of Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s regime through publishing video footages showing that the trucks, which were intercepted at the beginning of 2014 and affiliated to the Turkish intelligences, were transporting weapons and
ammunition to terrorist organizations in Syria.

The paper added that security forces seized a truck loaded with 10,000 detonators and explosive primers with length of 290,000 meters and arrested 5 suspects, 4 of them Syrians.

The detained persons admitted that they were trying to cross the border from the village of Aegean into Tal Abyad city in Raqaa province.

This video, which Cumhuriyet published on May 29th, disturbed Erdogan’s regime and pushed it to prosecute the paper opening a criminal investigation against the paper.

Meanwhile, the paper, first published the story and accompanying video on its website on May 29.

The footage then appeared to show artillery and mortar shells being secreted beneath medical supplies that were being transported into northern Syria. The vehicles carrying the cargo were reported to belong to Turkey’s Intelligence Agency.

The Turkish Gendarmerie (police) intercepted the trucks and inspected them upon the orders of the Turkish judicial authorities in Adana and Iskenderun areas in January, 19th 2014 which infuriated Erdogan’s regime and government and pushed them to launch a campaign of arrest against the judges and police and incarcerations.

About 45 persons were arrested in the campaign, four of them are prosecutors and the others are police and security personnel.
