Damascus, SANA- Minister of State for National Reconciliation Affairs Dr. Ali Haidar affirmed on Sunday that the solution to the crisis in Syria requires international will and a decisive international decision that bans supporting, arming and sending terrorists to Syria.
During a meeting with a South African delegation led by the Presidential Special Envoy for the Peace Process in the Middle East Zola Skweyiya, Haidar underlined the importance of an international agreement on a political solution to the crisis, combating terrorism and implementing relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
Haidar pointed out that the terrorist war against Syria is due to its stances vis-à-vis the Arab-Israeli conflict.
Commenting on the national reconciliations in the country, Haidar said that the basic factor hindering reconciliation is the “external factor”. “But despite all difficulties, the national reconciliation ministry had achieved reconciliations in more than 50 areas across Syria,” he added.
