Aleppo Governor, UN discuss cooperation in relief work

Aleppo, SANA-Aleppo Governor Mohammad Marwan al-Olabi discussed on Thursday with the resident representative of the UN in Syria Jacob al-Hilo means of boosting cooperation between Syria and the UN and increasing the relief work in the city.

During the meeting, al-Hilo said the aim of the visit is to inspect the work of the UN organizations in Aleppo and discuss with the city’s officials the future work plan, appreciating cooperation with the Syrian government and the facilitations it offers to the international organizations which were positively reflected on easing the suffering of the affected citizens.

Aleppo governor pointed out to the need for concentrating on supporting the small developmental projects which help provide income for the affected citizens instead of offering aid to them only, hailing cooperation between the country and the UN organizations.

He affirmed the need for providing the city with drinking water tanks and digging a number of wells to be used when needed, adding that the governorate cooperates with the UN organizations to transport the families living in hospitals and schools into substitute places.
