Havana, SANA- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez asserted Wednesday that the resistance of the Syrian people, under the leadership of Presidents Bashar al-Assad , is a main necessity for the destiny of humanity and Cuba respects Syrians’ steadfastness in the face of the internationally –devised war waged against Syria.
Rodriguez, meeting Assistant Regional Secretary of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party Hilal al-Hilal in Havana, affirmed that Cuba and Latin American countries support the Syrian people’s struggle against terrorism , pointing out that Cub’s supportive stance to Syria expresses cooperation and amity relations between the two countries and Cuba’s stickiness to the norms and constants defended by the Syrian people now a days.
The Cuban government highly appreciates the leadership and steadfastness of President al-Assad, Rodriguez said, adding that Cuba is running a joint struggle with Syria in the international domain and Syria will inevitably win in this regard.
Al-Hilal, for his part, pointed out that targeting Syria and Cuba by the United States and its tools including known western, regional and Arab countries will increase Syria’s stickiness to its sovereignty, independence and refusal for subsidiary.
He asserted that Syria is fighting World terrorism not only in defense of the Syrian people, but also of the whole world.
Earlier Wednesday, Hilal discussed with Member of Cuban Communist Party’s Central Committee Jose Ramon Balaguer the historic relations between Syria and Cuba.
