Terrorists set fire to farmlands in eastern countryside of Hama

Hama, SANA- Terrorists set fire to hundreds of hectares of farmlands planted with wheat, barley, olive trees, and almond trees in the eastern countryside of Hama province.

Diaa Khalil, the chairman of the board of Tal- Dara town, said in a statement to SANA on Wednesday that terrorists had burned on Tuesday around 1,100 hectares of farmlands in al-Jamal and Bargit villages, at al-Dalak turnpike, with the fires spreading to Kubit al-Kurdi and Taldar towns in al-Salamiyeh in the eastern countryside of the province.

An Army unit in cooperation with national defense group and families managed to control and extinguish the fires which had burned on for around ten hours.
