Italy loses to Uruguay 0-1 , leaves world Cup

Italy departed World Cup tournament from the first round, losing to Uruguay 0-1 Tuesday in the match held within group D.

In the same group, Britain also left the tournament when it tied with Costa Rica 0-0 who qualified to the second round along with Uruguay.

With this result, Costa Rica topped the group with 7 points, while Uruguay came second with 6 points, Italy third with 3 points, while Britain came in the bottom with one point.
