SARC distributes food aid to displaced families in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor, SANA – The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) branch in Deir Ezzor on Tuesday began distributing food aid to 35,000 displaced families in Deir Ezzor city.

Deputy Chairman of SARC branch Ali al-Ali pointed out in a statement to SANA that the distribution process is carried out via three centers and according to the cards issued by the SARC to the displaced families.

He added that the aid packages include rice and ghee (clarified cooking butter) and that the distribution will continue till May 19th.

In April, the SARc branch in Deir Ezzor distributed about 20 tons of food aid packages to nearly 35,000 families in four centers in Deir Ezzor city.
