Prominent anchor Alaa Eddin al-Ayyoubi passes away

Damascus, SANA- Syrian prominent anchor Alaa Eddin al-Ayyoubi passed away aged 57 after he suffered a heart attack on Wednesday afternoon.

Al-Ayyoubi was born in Damascus in 1958. He holds a diploma in Economy and a diploma in Media. The late anchor moderated famous TV and radio programs including “Police in the Service of People”.

The late anchor’s colleagues elaborated on his attributes, praising his sonorous voice, affable character and rich contribution to the Syrian media and journalism.

The body of the deceased will be laid to rest in al-Mardinieh cemetery in Rukn-Eddin in Damascus.
