Charity and Social Services Association distributes 500 food baskets in Hasaka

Hasaka, SANA – The Charity and Social Services Association branch in Hasaka on Tuesday finished distributing 500 food baskets among families affected by terrorism and displaced from al-Houl area in the countryside of Hasaka province.

The branch’s director Mohammad Fateh al-Absi said that these baskets were provided by the World Food Program (WFP) and each one consists of over 60kg of essential food items such as rice, flour, sugar, oil, and other materials.

He noted that about 1,500 food baskets are scheduled to be distributed to the displaced families from al-Houl area as of the beginning of the next month.

Throughout April, the branch has distributed a total of 2,000 assorted aid packages among affected families, including clothes for children and blankets.
