Damascus, SANA- The Final statement of the Syrian National Dialogue Conference called for preserving the unity of the Syrian Arab Republic and its sovereignty over its entire territory, and rejecting any form of partition, division, or surrender of any part of the homeland.
“We condemn the Israeli infiltration into Syrian territory as a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Syrian State, demand its immediate and unconditional withdrawal, reject the provocative statements by the Israeli Prime Minister and call on the international community and regional organizations to assume their responsibilities towards the Syrian people, and exert pressure to stop the aggression and violations,” participants in the conference said in the final statement of the conference that concluded its activities on Tuesday.
The final statement called for accelerating a temporary constitutional declaration that suits the requirements of the transitional period and ensures filling the constitutional vacuum, thus accelerating the work of the Syrian state bodies.
It urged for enhancing freedom as a supreme value in society, and a precious profit for which the Syrian people shed with their blood, and ensuring freedom of opinion and expression.
The final statement demanded respect for human rights, support the role of women in all fields, protect the rights of children, caring for people with special needs and activating the role of youth in the state and society.
It also called for fulfilling the transitional justice by holding those responsible accountable for their crimes and violations, reforming the judicial system, and enacting the necessary legislation and appropriate mechanisms to ensure the achievement of justice and the restoration of rights.
The final urged for fulfilling the political development according to principles that guarantee the participation of all segments of society in political life, issuing appropriate laws for that, and emphasizing political isolation procedures according to fair principles and standards.
“Launching the wheel of economic development and boosting the agricultural and industrial sectors by adopting incentive economic policies that enhance growth, encourage investment and protect investors, respond to the needs of the people, and support the country’s prosperity,” the final statement concluded.
