Syrian woman defies difficulties and crises

Damascus, SANA- Syrian woman’s ability to overcome difficulties and find a solution to the crises which encounter her life was embodied in Mrs. Jenan Kamal Eddin, from the southern city of Sweida, who planned a project on recycling the old clothes.

WOMEN11The project entitled “Women return life” aims at recycling the used clothes with the aim of investing the neglected clothes and reviving the old textiles to use them once again for several purposes after giving them attractive and new look.

Kamal Eddin has faced a number of difficulties that prevented her from acquiring a job after graduating from the Institute of Fine Arts many years ago, but, in spite of these difficulties, she decided to launch this initiative.

The project provides job opportunities for distinguished women in Sweida and indicates to their creative mentality to represent important economic dimension, depicts remarkable picture of Syrian woman and shows her ability to defy life’s difficulties and getting out of crises, Kamal Eddin told SANA.

WOMEN2She drew the inspiration of the initiative from a similar project that participated last year in the first festival of Golan women entitled ”bees’ cells” which motivated her to launch her project with the aim of activating the role of the Syrian women during the crisis and investing their presence within these difficult times.

Kamal Eddin noted that the project organizes, with the participation of National Union for Syrian Students in Sweida, a workshop on recycling the used clothes which will finally firm a large portrait of the used clothes under the title ” the oaks” which include the Arab outfit and the ruins of Sweida province.
