Syrian ambassador to India offers condolences on demise of leader of the Marxist Communist Party of India

New Delhi, SANA-The Syrian Ambassador to India, Dr. Bassam al-Khatib, offered condolences on the demise of the leader of the Marxist Communist Party of India, Sitaram Yechury , who passed away on the twelfth of September, after a struggle with illness.

Ambassador al-Khatib wrote a word in the register of condolences at the headquarters of the Communist Party of India-Marxist in New Delhi Saturday, in which he praised the merits of Yechury , who played a prominent role in defending the issues of Syria and the Palestinian people at the international and local levels.

The ambassador met the family of the deceased and the leaders of the Communist Party of India-Marxist, and stressed the good relationship with the late leader, conveying to them the condolences of Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad.
