Syria condemns Israeli aggression on its territory, calls on all countries to condemn it

Damascus, SANA- The Syrian Arab Republic condemned in the strongest terms the blatant Israeli aggression that targeted several areas, leaving 16 martyrs 36 wounded, among whom six are in critical condition.

Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement on Monday that Israeli occupation forces carried out on Sunday evening an aerial act of aggression from northwestern Lebanon, targeting several residential areas and leaving 16 martyrs 36 wounded, in addition to a material damage.

“The Israeli occupation entity continued attacks on Syrian territory and other countries in the region, and its continuation of its brutal war on Palestinian people in Gaza Strip and West Bank, and its perpetration of the most horrific massacres and crimes of genocide against the Palestinians, demonstrates this fascist and bloody entity’s frantic pursuit for further escalation in the region and pushing it into dangerous slopes that will have unpredictable and grave consequences”, the statment noted .

The Ministry noted in its statment that Syria stresses that the unlimited support for the Israeli entity by the US and other Western countries encourages it to continue its brutal crimes and ongoing aggression, which makes those countries partners in this aggression and covering it up requires accountability.

Syria also warned against the international silence regarding Israel’s violation of international law, calling on all countries to condemn this aggression and stand in solidarity with it to put an end to the systematic Israeli aggression and crimes, according to the statment.

Syria reaffirms its firm right to defend its territorial sovereignty and liberate its occupied land by all legitimate means guaranteed by international law, the Ministry stated.
