Damascus countryside, SANA- Syrian Arab Horse Association (SAHA), in cooperation with the Arabian Horse Office at the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, held the fourth periodic race for horses in Damascus countryside.
The competitions were distributed over seven runs, where the first, second, third and fourth halves were allocated to a distance of 1600 meters, while the remaining ones were allocated to a distance of 2200 meters, according to the type of horses and their grades classified in races.
Director of the association, Eng. Mohamed Al-Wadi, pointed to the diversity of the race in terms of participating horses and the entry of new horses into the competition, explaining that is a good indicator of interest in thoroughbred Arabic horses as an ancient heritage.
This event witnessed strong competitions and wide participation and a number of horse breeders expressed their desire to continue producing Arabian horses and preparing them for races.
