Oil prices rise despite sudden upsurge in US oil stocks

London, SANA- Oil prices rose on Wednesday, in Asian trading despite a sudden upsurge in US oil stocks

Brent crude futures rose 40 cents, or 0.5 percent, to $85.41 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose 43 cents, or 0.5 percent, to $81.26 a barrel, Reuters reported.

The American Petroleum Institute (API) on Tuesday reported U.S. crude oil stocks rose by 914,000 barrels, in the week ending June 21.
