Syria obtains bronze medal at BRICS Games

Kazan, SANA- Syrian delegation won its first medal in the BRICS Games currently held in the Russian city of Kazan, via badminton.

Hossam al-Rahi and Shadi al-Ansari won bronze medal in the men’s doubles team after defeating Burkina Faso team Friday (2-0) in the quarter-finals, (21-12) and (21-14).

In turn, the women’s team and the Belarusian doubles team lost with a score of (2-0) in the quarter-finals, and Fulla Al-Najjar and Raneem Hasbani were represented in the competition.
