Film director Abdel Hamid passes away at 70, escorted to Lattakia

Lattakia / SANA- From Damascus, which he loved with all its details, the body of the great film director Abdel Latif Abdel Hamid set off to his city of Latakia, with the presence of a large number of artists.

The funeral procession for the body of the late Syrian director Abdel Hamid, which began this morning in front of Ibn al-Nafis Hospital in Damascus and arrived at noon in Lattakia, was attended popularly and officially to bid farewell to a great director who was able to convey the image of the Syrian countryside with its beauty, purity and simplicity. The body was buried in his village of Bahluliya in the countryside of Latakia.

The great director Abdel Hamid, passed away at the age of 70, leaving behind a rich cinematic legacy and a career filled with about 20 works.
