Manama,SANA-With participation of President Bashar al-Assad, works of the thirty-third session of the Arab League council at the summit level started Thursday in Manama, the capital of Bahrain.
President al-Assad will not give a speech during the summit, as Syria’s positions are clear regarding the issues on the event’s agenda, including Arabism, Palestinian issue, Arab-Israeli conflict and reform of the Arab League.
Crown Prince, Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Emir Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud handed over the presidency of the 33rd Arab Summit to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In a speech during the opening, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince stressed the need to continue joint action to stop the brutal aggression against the Palestinians, deliver humanitarian aid and work to find a just and comprehensive solution, to the Palestinian issue.
